The Public Hall

Since 1968, the Public Hall at Budleigh Salterton has been the permanent location for ICOS Tour every summer. Indeed, this is now the only venue at which we perform outside of London.

Getting There

The town of Budleigh Salterton is in South West England, found near Exeter in East Devon just 10 miles from junction 30 of the M5. Click here for a map of the area. The Public Hall is close to the town centre, adjacent to the green on station road. As well as ample car parking, the hall is served directly by local bus routes.

Transforming the Venue

Prior to the 2 weeks of performances, our technical team is charged with the task of converting the venue from town hall to theatre in just 5 days. Extra staging is assembled to extend the performance area, the set is constructed and lighting and sound equipment is installed. The photo below-right shows the result of their hard work: the twin revolving set which accompanied our first ever Musical in Budeligh, Anything Goes, in 2004.
